Incorporated in 1917 Brea is one of the oldest communities in Orange County. It is known as the city of oil, oranges and opportunity. It began with already oil producing, Olinda Village in Brea’s rolling northern hills, which continued to draw workers and it organized a town and prepared for future growth.
Newer communities in Brea include:
- Artisan Walk
- Brea Downtown Collection
- La Floresta
- Olinda Ranch
- South Brea Lofts
- Walden Estates
Today, Brea is a bustling community with shopping and restaurants galore, but still considered a close-knit community of 40,000 residents. Residence enjoy the best of both worlds with all that the city has to offer but also enjoying the comforts of a small town neighborhood feel. Brea also has an outstanding school district recognized as California Distinguished and National Blue Ribbon schools.
