The City of Orange is unique in that it is centered around The Plaza Historic District in which some of the homes were built prior to 1920 and have been preserved. Architectural styles include Bungalow, Craftsman Bungalow, Arts and Crafts Movement, Hip Roof Cottage, Mediterranean Revival, Prairie Style, Spanish Colonial Revival and Victorian. This quaint one-mile square is a vibrant commercial district as well with many historic buildings and the oldest operating bank and soda fountain. The City’s Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The affuent community of Villa Park is also part of the City of Orange as well as Orange Park Acres, an equestrian estate community, and the newer community of Serrano Heights, located in the eastern Orange Hills, offers Catalina and San Gabriel mountain views.
